OUR PURPOSE The Residence Hall Association at the University South Florida, herein referred to as the RHA, has been established for the purpose of representing and helping student residents address issues and concerns about their welfare at USF. In addition, it will also serve to generate and support activities and programs with the goal of uniting all halls as a community and governmental body on campus. Who We Are Composed Of The Residence Hall Association is composed of 13 building councils - each for an area of around 300 residents. Building councils organize social activities in its area, and serve the needs of its residents. Each building council consists of a Governor, Lieutenant Governor, 1 senator per 100 residents, and a mayor for every RA. The building councils are elected in the first two weeks of the Fall Semester, and they enter office immediately. The Governor organizes the work of the building council, runs building council meetings, and attends Board Of Governors meetings with governors from other areas and the RHA President. Lieutenant Governor is in charge of building council's budget and advertisement, and replaces the Governor if they are unable to perform their duties. The senators help organize area wide programs, attend general RHA meetings, and form part of an RHA committee. The Mayors help their RA out with programs and bulletin boards, and help their building council organize events. Our Governing Body Our governing body is composed of 43 senators, representing 4300 residents and an executive board that consists of a President, two Vice-presidents, a Treasurer, a Secretary, a National Communication Coordinator and a Coordinator of Technology. The executive board is elected in the spring, and enters office the following year.
